Department had organized and hosted “International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon’s Day” on February 13th 2025 with the theme of “early detection and prevention of oral cancer”.
Dr. B.C. Yelemali, Principal, S.N. Medical College and Hospital, Navanagar, Bagalkote presided over the occasion, Dr. Sanjeev Kolagi, Head of the department, Department of Human Anatomy and Dr. Basavaraj Ankalkoti, Consultant Oncosugeon, S.N. Medical College and Hospital, Navanagar, Bagalkote were guest of honor.
Dr. Vishwanath M.N., Senior lecturer, presented an awareness seminar on “early detection and prevention of oral cancer” in the same event.
Dr. Basavaraj Ankalkoti addressed the gathering and stressed upon the fact that early detection of oral cancer lead to better prognosis.
The department also had taken the pride to organize face painting and quiz competitions for undergraduate and postgraduate students on the theme of “early detection and prevention of oral cancer”.
