The Department of Oral Pathology has celebrated National Oral Pathologist Day on 25th February 2025 in the memory of Dr. H. M. Dholakia, who holds the distinct honor of being the first post graduate teacher of Oral Pathology in India by starting the first post graduate course in this subject at Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai in 1960. He mentored countless number of colleagues and is considered as “Bhishmapitamah” of Oral Pathology in India.
